School Charter

One of the key projects that the RRR group have been working on during this academic year is to update the school charter. This document, which outlines both student’s rights as well as their responsibilities to respect the rights of others, is underpinned by the fundamental articles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

The charter has been re-written by the Rights, Respect and Responsibility (RRR) group this year, after consultation with a broad range of students and staff across the school, ensuring all stakeholders had the opportunity to exercise their right to an opinion (Article 12 of the CRC) and felt they have been given the chance to contribute to this vital document.

These updated charters were re-launched in the spring term, during the school-wide Rights, Respect and Responsibility week, and are now displayed in every classroom as a reminder of Tanbridge’s Rights Respecting ethos. The current charter is also available as a PDF from the link below.
