> Ofsted - Tanbridge Report

“When students first come to Tanbridge House, every effort is made to ensure they quickly settle into the school and parents appreciate this. As one said, 'I am very happy with how my daughter is settling into her new school life.”

Admissions

The LEA admissions policy allows for parents living in Horsham and the surrounding villages (the Community Designated Area) to express a first and second preference for secondary schools. If the school of first preference is oversubscribed the allocation of places is based upon the following criteria in order of priority:

  • Children with strong medical or other special reasons for attending the school
  • Children with an elder brother or sister in the school at the time of admission
  • Pupils living to the west of a line running north to south through the central part of Horsham.
  • Please contact the Area Office for details of this line
  • Pupils living in the rest of the Horsham Community Designated Area

The policy is outlined in the booklet "Information for Parents" which is published by the Authority who also co-ordinates admissions to Tanbridge.
