Coffee, Cakes and Charity
Year 7 students from Tanbridge House School in Horsham have raised nearly £300 for Macmillan Cancer Support by taking part in the Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
Students made and brought in cakes to sell at break times to students and staff across the school, costing approximately £1 per cake. The total money raised for Macmillan from cake sales was £286!
Lesley Price, Leader of Year 7, said: “Tanbridge students are really passionate about doing their bit for charity and always go above and beyond what we ask of them. Raising near to £300 from the coffee morning is incredible. Many staff commented that they had never seen so many cakes in one place before!”
