Community Projects
The Y Centre, Horhsam
The Y Centre art project has been running since December 2006, offering Y Centre residents the opportunity to explore their artistic side and produce artwork. The project is a fantastic opportunity for residents who would not normally be together as a group to meet and mix with others, encourage each other, make new friends whilst exploring issues such as healthy eating through reseaching the web for ideas on what to paint.
The funding from Tanbridge House School, made possible through the Specialist School bid, enabled the Y Centre to purchase equipment for residents who are less confident with a paintbrush so they can be involved by making videos of the projects progress.
The Fast & Funky Food Club for Young Mums
An ongoing project started in May 2007 at Tanbridge House School enabling local young mums to come together and under the guidance of a Tanbridge House School teacher, prepare healthy evening meals for their families.
