Community Projects
The Y Centre, Horhsam
The Y Centre art project has been running since December 2006, offering Y Centre residents the opportunity to explore their artistic side and produce artwork. The project is a fantastic opportunity for residents who would not normally be together as a group to meet and mix with others, encourage each other, make new friends whilst exploring issues such as healthy eating through reseaching the web for ideas on what to paint.
The funding from Tanbridge House School, made possible through it's Specialist School Status, enabled the Y Centre to purchase equipment for residents who are less confident with a paintbrush so they can be involved by making videos of the projects progress.
HACVS
During February and October half-terms, SCIP hold one day courses for employees from the Horsham Voluntary and Charitable services working with excel, the internet and databases. These courses are extremely successful and fill up quickly.
