At Tanbridge House School we run a cohesive programme for our High Performing students (formerly Gifted & Talented) across all years and all subjects. From their entry into school all students are monitored by their teachers and the programme’s coordinators, with a view to inviting a small but significant number of Year 7s onto the HP Programme towards Easter time.
From this induction, to likely graduation in Year 11, these students are expected to independently set and overcome key targets, with the support of a staff mentor. These targets relate to three significant areas that future colleges, universities and workplaces cite as of real importance: academic excellence, personal development and future leadership.
Regular events take place across all subjects to help to support the programme. We operate a Global High Performers programme (for high performers in many subjects) and Subject Specific High Performers (for high performers in one or two specific subjects).
