Funky Shoes on Show at Tanbridge House School in support of Sussex Air Ambulance
Tanbridge House School saw some very interesting footwear on Friday 12th December, when students were encouraged to wear funky shoes to school to help raise funds and awareness for the Sussex Air Ambulance Service.
As part of Tanbridge House School’s continued support for local charities the students have been raising money for the Sussex Air Ambulance Service and on Friday 12th December every member of the school, students and staff!, were encouraged to wear their funkiest footwear and make a voluntary contribution to wear their own shoes.
In addition, guest speakers visited Tanbridge on the week leading up to ‘the funky footwear day’ to inform the students of the vital role the Air Ambulance plays in Sussex.
"It has been good for the students to be part of this event and support a very important local charity… I must say I wish my wardrobe possessed some of the weird and fabulous footwear that I have seen at Tanbridge - very suitable for the cold weather!"
The students really enjoyed the day and raised a fantastic £700 for the charity.
