Key Stages
The National Curriculum is divided into four Key Stages.
Key Stages 3 and 4 relate to secondary schools.
Key Stage 3 covers lower secondary school: children aged 11 – 14; in Year 7-9.
Key Stage 4 covers upper secondary school: children aged 14–16; in Years 10-11.
Tanbridge House School follows the National Curriculum, and has added to that, subjects which we feel are essential for the rounded education of our students.
We operate a two week timetable with fifty, hour long, lessons per fortnight.

Key Stage 4:
Curriculum for Years 10 and 11
All students in Years 10 and 11 study a core curriculum of English, English Literature, ICT, Mathematics, PSHE, PE, RE & Science amounting to thirty core lessons a fortnight.
A further 20 lessons are filled from a variety of optional subjects.
