New Headteacher for Tanbridge House School
5 October 2007
The governors are delighted to announce the appointment of Jules White to the position of Headteacher at Tanbridge House School commencing in January 2008.
Mr White has an Honours Degree in Politics and Economics. He has taught a range of A Level and GCSE subjects throughout his teaching career. Currently, Mr White is Deputy Headteacher at Worthing High School where he has spent 3 ½ successful years.
Mr White was selected from a strong field of applicants. He passed through a rigorous selection process that included an excellent question and answer session carried out by members of our student council.
Mr White has a clear vision regarding the challenges facing secondary education in an ever changing environment. He has the ability to ensure that the school’s focus remains on bringing out the best of every individual. The governors believe that he has the skill, determination, experience, and management ability to take the school to the next level. Mr White is looking to build on the firm foundations that have already been put in place at Tanbridge House School and will look to work collaboratively with all stakeholders in order to raise student achievement to an even higher standard.
Speaking about his new appointment Jules White said “I am incredibly excited about taking up the challenge of leading Tanbridge House School. I intend to place the attainment of highest academic standards at the forefront of my leadership. These standards will be underpinned by a strong culture of positive behaviour and traditional community values. I want to work closely with students, staff and parents to ensure every child at Tanbridge House School reaches their personal best”.
Mr White and his partner, Sam, have two young daughters, Eva and Alice. His family and career leave little time for other activities, however, his main interests outside of school include swimming and jogging.
Mr White will be at our Open Evening on Thursday 11 October to meet and talk with prospective parents and students from 6.00 pm.
