Celebrating "PI"
Tanbridge House School celebrated number day this year on Monday 10th November 2008 which was the 314th day of the year which also happened to be the 1st 3 digits of the number pi!
To celebrate this Tanbridge House School held a “Pi Numeracy Day”. Students participated across the curriculum in activities to celebrate all things circular including; understanding the link between circles and Pi, writing a rap to remember the number 3.14, looking at artists who used circles in their art,
considering how circles impact on our Geography and who used circles from 200BC forward in history and RE.
Four Year 11 students acted as roving reporters putting together a website showing the talents of Tanbridge House students as they investigated mathematics across the curriculum. This will shortly be available for pupils and parents to view on the Tanbridge House Moodle. (Virtual Learning Environment).
