Planetarium returns to Tanbridge
Tanbridge House School has been helping to extend not only students knowledge of space, but staff and even parents’ knowledge as well, with the return of the visiting Space Odyssey Show, delivered inside an inflatable planetarium by Simon Ould, experienced Science Teacher and Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society.
Year 8 students had the opportunity to visit the planetarium, which was set up at the school, at allocated times throughout the day. Staff were then invited to a special showing after school before 20 lucky Year 7 students were able to experience the show with their Mum or Dad in a special evening show, so parents could learn something new too.
Vicky Edwards, Leader of Science, said: “Students absolutely loved the planetarium show and, as a specialist Science school we pride ourselves in being able to offer opportunities to explore Science in exciting and technologically advanced ways.
We were especially pleased to be able to invite parents in to see the show, which proved really popular. The school is committed to being a real part of the local community and inviting parents and other Horsham residents in regularly to experience what Tanbridge is all about.”
