Justine Harding - Head Girl
I am in Year 11, my final year at Tanbridge House School, and I have been appointed Head Girl. Since I became Head Girl I have done much around the school, as well as being in the Rights Respecting Group, I have spoken during Open Evening, conducted school tours; In which I am asked a few peculiar questions!
I have also been a positive role model to the younger students, especially those in Year 7. I am a member of the school orchestra and choirs and have been since joining Tanbridge House five years ago and I play for the netball and rounders team.
I feel that Tanbridge House School has helped me to become more developed as a person, it has taught me a great deal, and not just in the academic subjects but also in personal skills and extra opportunities like the school musicals which have been so much fun.
Being in my final year I have the option of carrying on studying at college and I am hoping to become an actress, the courses that I am taking at GCSE and at A level will help me in achieving this goal.

Calum Laver - Deputy Head Boy/Sport
I was elected Deputy Head Boy at Tanbridge House School at the end of the last school year and I was chosen to specialise in Sport because this is one of the aspects of School that I am very passionate about. I feel very honoured to have been chosen for this position ahead of many other equally capable students.
I have a variety of roles at the school, it is my job to be a link between the students and the P.E. department. I let the staff know what the students would like done to the P.E. department and feedback to the students about the changes that are being made. It is also my job to help run and organise sporting events, along with the Senior P.E. Prefects, such as the recent Year Seven Inter Team Football Tournament.
My interests focus around sport and I am particularly enthusiastic about road cycling, football and mountain biking. I am a Charlton Athletic supporter (blame my Dad) and have been a season ticket holder for 5 years.

Alice Bennett – Deputy Head Girl & Charity Ambassador
As Deputy Head Girl and Charity Ambassador my role at Tanbridge House School involves organising charity events, such as the Christmas bizarre, non school uniform days and making sure each student has a say in the charities we raise money for. Recently Tanbridge has volunteered to support the Project Rose campaign in aid of cancer research.
I really enjoy my school life and when I leave Tanbridge House School I would like to go to Collyers and then onto higher education at university to study Modern Foreign Languages. Once I have a degree I would like a job as a translator in the media.

Sophie Bartlett Headteacher’s Ambassador & Deputy Head Girl
I am now in my final year at Tanbridge and have recently been appointed as Head teacher’s Ambassador and Deputy Head Girl.
Throughout my five years at Tanbridge I have learnt much, not just in my lessons but also as a person. The staff and students here have given me the knowledge and skills that I know will help me into the next stage of my life.
In Year 7, I became a member of Student Voice and I have carried this on throughout my time at Tanbridge House School. Through this I have been involved in many different projects that have included; organising and taking part in observing lessons, running a school litter campaign, interviewing teachers and setting up a School Council.
In this final year of my time at Tanbridge I hope to take the skills I have gained from Student Voice and my experience from school to help to promote Tanbridge House School in the community, to have lessons being observed by students throughout the school and to ensure that there are processes put in place that ensure every student is listened to.

Laurence Baker, Head Boy
Since coming to Tanbridge House School, I have been involved with different activities, particularly in the music department, where I have played the saxophone in Band since my first year, and more recently in the Jazz Band. I have also been captain of the rugby team since my second year and I've always enjoyed playing matches with the rest of the team.
Last year I had the opportunity to play Sweeney Todd in the school's musical at the Capitol, which was amazing, and is definitely my best memory of my time at Tanbridge House School.
The main role in being Head Boy is working with the rest of the group on different ideas to do with the school. I also give speeches at events like open evening.

Michelle Walder- Deputy Head Girl & Ambassador for Performing Arts
Recently, I was allocated the role of Deputy Head Girl and Ambassador for Performing Arts. This was a new role, encouraging a more involved approach from the Head Girl and Boy, and their deputies. I have had a passion for the art of performance from a young age, attending stage school, so this seemed fitting.
With the school musical, Les Miserables, being a big part of the Performing Arts department at school, I have been doing work with the teachers on this, and will be acting as Assistant Artistic Director for this production. Also, our seasonal concerts are a big event, and so I have been doing some work to organise some tombola’s etc, for charity, at these events.
In the future, I would like to do performance, but I realise this is a particularly difficult industry. However, I think at Tanbridge House School I am slowly learning that you have to seize your dreams and put in the effort, otherwise you will get nowhere. I am hoping with effort, and the great education I have had, I will be able to fulfil my ambitions.

Luke Harty – Deputy Head Boy
Arriving at Tanbridge House School as a young hyperactive boy in 2005, I had a big journey ahead of me, as everyone does, to become a more sensible ‘young man’. My years at Tanbridge House School have been some of the biggest years of my life. Things have become clearer, and I have been able to appreciate and challenge basic factors of everyday living and when I started to realise I like to do my best at everything, things started to change. I found myself looking forward to school. This motivated me to apply, and thankfully become Deputy Head Boy in Year 11.
Major interests in karate and parkour have helped me massively on the journey of life so far, training my mind to see things differently to others. In both sports, discipline and focus are essential. In my role as Deputy Head Boy, I try to bring elements of this to student’s lives, helping them to see things from other perspectives.

Oliver Hance- Head Teacher Ambassador and Deputy Head Boy
Coming into Tanbridge House School in 2005 from Southwater Junior School was a very daunting experience, but one that I looked forward to greatly. From Year 7, I was always wanting to get involved with projects and groups. One of these groups was an exciting new project called “Student Voice”. I have been in this group now for my 5 years at Tanbridge and it has been greatly advantageous towards me in both an educational and life skill building part of my secondary school career.
I have always had a keen interest in music, playing the Piano since I was 6 years of age. Recently, I have started the Oboe; this is an instrument that I am very passionate about. Playing in bands, ensembles and orchestras help to broaden my musical knowledge greatly and enables me to meet musicians like myself.
I was delighted when I was appointed the role of Head Teacher Ambassador and Deputy Head Boy as I feel it can really open new opportunities that I would not have been able to take part in before.
