Delighted staff and students at Tanbridge are celebrating the school's highest ever GCSE results.
For the second year running students surpassed their predessors with an impressive range of marks improving two per on 2006 results, with 69 per cent of students gaining the Government's benchmark of at least five grades at A*-C.
Mrs Johnson (Headteacher), "We are very proud of all our Year 11 students. Success this year was absolutely across the board and it was fantastic to see the joy on students faces as they tore open or cautiously peeped into their examination envelopes.
We have put in place the stepping stones for next year's results and will all be working hard in the coming months to guarantee breaking the 70 per cent 5A*-C threshold with Year 11 in 2008."
Vicky True and Alex Curran took two places in the top five in the country for their outstanding performances in their English Literature papers, sustaining the record of Tanbridge students achieving top grades.
