Tanbridge students Go 4 it!

Six students from Tanbridge House School recently won £250 and an iPod shuffle each after taking part in the EDT Go4Set challenge with Trend Control Systems.

After working with Trend for 10 weeks to look at the school’s energy consumption and ways that Tanbridge could save energy, the students presented their ideas at the Go4Set celebration event at the University of Brighton.

The students won the Pupil’s Choice award with a prize of £250 for the school, as well as an iPod Shuffle each from Trend and a thank you and well done for all their hard work on the project.

Jawaad Latif, a Science Teacher at Tanbridge, said: “This was a very positive experience for the students. They enjoyed working being treated like adults in the adult world, they were fascinated when visiting a factory to see how control systems were made and enjoyed the celebratory event in Brighton. We are looking at the best way to spend money, perhaps a motivational speaker or some investment in energy efficient resources.”
