Tackle Africa charity sports event

Year 8 students at Tanbridge House School took part in a sports event to raise money for Tackle Africa.

The charity uses football to reach young people in Africa to increase their understanding of HIV/Aids and enable them to live safe and healthy lives.

Two members of staff from Tackle Africa gave a talk to the students and the main event involved 188 students completing a 'marathon' representing different African nations.

Said a Tanbridge spokesperson: "The students were excellent, displaying high levels of enthusiasm. Students completed the marathons carrying the flags of their countries."
