Talented trio could influence school marketing activity

Some of our work experience students have made such an impact with their creative marketing ideas that they may help to shape future marketing activity for the school.

Three Year 10 students, Matt Hayden, Luke Sutton and Jo Dulieu, spent a week in May at Billingshurst based marketing agency, PMW Communications.

During the week the students tried different elements of the business including producing radio commercials, designing newspaper adverts, developing campaigns and events, and writing press releases.

In the last two days of the week PMW Managing Director, Peter Sutton, asked the students to make a presentation on their marketing concept to all PMW staff. Unbeknown to the students, Headteacher Mr White was to listen to the presentation along with new Marketing Manager, Miss Weaver.

Mr White said: “This was one of the best student presentations I have ever seen in all my years as a teacher and I am truly impressed with the ideas and presentation skills that the students have developed over the week. I liked their ideas so much that I am even considering introducing some of them into the school.”
