Tanbridge House School presents

WEST SIDE STORY

Tanbridge House School are delighted to present, West Side Story at the Hawth Theatre, Crawley on  10th & 11th July

After months of hard work the Tanbridge House School Music and Drama department are ready to take centre stage as students transform into “Jets” and “Sharks” in readiness to perform the classic musical “West Side Story” at the Hawth Theatre in Crawley on the 10th & 11th July 2008.

Following their success with ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ in 2006; Tanbridge House School are delighted to present their production of Robbins and Laurents’ timeless musical, ‘West Side Story’.

This musical, based on Shakespeare’s classic tragedy ‘Romeo and Juliet’, finds two rival gangs, the Jets and the Sharks fighting out their differences on the streets of New York City. When Maria – the sister of Bernardo, the Sharks leader – and Tony – a former Jet, meet at a dance and instantly fall in love, everything becomes a lot more complicated. Will the anger and bitterness of the gangs’ leaders destroy everything? Or, will love conquer all?

Students will again be venturing onto a professional stage at Crawley’s Hawth Theatre. Performances are on Thursday, 10th and Friday, 11th July 2008 at 7.30pm. Ticket are now on sale!

Ticket prices are £8/£12 and bookings can be made by contacting the Hawth Box Office: Tel: 01293 553636, Fax: 01293 533362, Minicom: 01293 539418, email: box.office@crawley.gov.uk or via the Hawth website.
