Every student at THS has a dedicated team of staff around them, who are there to provide support and guidance at every stage of their journey with us.
In addition, we have a dedicated team who manage the Admissions and Transitions process, who are available to answer any queries you may have during the next few months.
Tutors
Your child's tutor will be confirmed to you ahead of our Induction Day in July and they will often be your first port of call for any queries or issues you may have.
Students see their Tutors twice a day, every day and often they will be with students for their whole time with us, until they leave in Year 11.
Leader of Year - Mrs Ryan
The Leader of Year has responsibility for the year group overall and will work with their team to manage any issues arising with individuals or the year group as a whole.
They are there to support students and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential at THS.

Deputy Leader of Year - Mr Stanley
The Deputy Leader of Year will support the Leader of Year in supporting the year group through their time at THS. They will often deal with individual issues and are, again, there to support students as required.

Assistant Leader of Year - Mrs Butler
The Assistant Leader of Year provides pastoral support to students in the year group. The Assistant Leader of Year is a non-teaching member of staff, which means they are always around for students to go to if needed.
Students can often drop in and visit the Assistant Leader of Year at break times if they need someone to talk to, some time away from others, or for any other reason they feel they need to see a trusted member of staff.

Senior Link - Mr Osmond
Every year group has a senior member of staff attached to it, who can support the Leader of Year and the team as a whole. The senior link will have a wealth of experience in academic and pastoral issues and can deal with any escalated or more serious incidents/problems as required.

The Admissions/Transition Team
Managing the logistics of the admission and transition process, this team can provide further information about the practicalities of your child starting school with us, or point you to the right member of staff to solve any particular queries you may have.

Inclusion - SEND Enquiries
The transition team, and year group team, will work with Primary schools to ensure that we are aware of, and can plan for, any students who require support from our Inclusion team.
