March into Reading
March into Reading is our very own reading initiative, launched in 2024. We wanted to share our love for books and reading for a whole month, rather than just a day (World Book Day). And so 'March into Reading' was born...
Throughout the month, we have a wide range of competitions, workshops/activities, challenges and more for students to get involved with, including:
- The 1,000,000 Page Challenge - following the success of our 500,000 page challenge last year, we have upped the stakes! For 2026, we are challenging our school community to read 1000,000 pages collectively throughout March! Simply read as much as you can throughout the month, and log your pages here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/T77YKL9
- World Book Day this year includes our Staff-jective Dress Up Day for staff, Tanbridge Traitors, LRC Book Swap, World Book Day tokens/free books...and of course, lots of reading!
- KS3 Homework - all Key Stage 3 homework throughout the month will be reading focussed
- Competitions and Challenges, THS Storytime, TV and Movie screenings...
