Be Active Day
On Friday 18 July, students across the school took part in our annual Be Active Day – an event designed to promote the enjoyment and benefits of a physically active, healthy lifestyle. The day encouraged students to get involved, try something new, and have fun while being active.
Students took part in a wide range of sports — many for the first time. Years 8 and 10 were active in the morning before returning to lessons, while Years 7 and 9 got involved in the afternoon. Activities included Benchball, Handball, Kick Rounders, Ultimate Frisbee, Softball, and Dodgeball.
Mr Fowle, PE Teacher and Deputy Leader of Year 11, who organised the event, said: “Be Active Day was a really positive event! Students got fully involved and many tried something completely new. Being active and healthy is so important, and we’re confident that everyone can find a sport or activity they love. What’s important is that students are not afraid to get stuck in and give it a go.”
Thank you to all staff who supported the day and to every student who took part!
