Celebration of Achievement Evening 2025
Tanbridge House School was delighted to welcome back the Class of 2025 for this year’s Celebration of Achievement Evening, an annual event recognising the hard work, character, and accomplishments of our students. The evening was once again sponsored by EVM UK Ltd and provided a wonderful opportunity for former students to reconnect with their teachers and peers, reflect on their time at THS, and celebrate a year group that has left a lasting impression on the school community.
Awards were presented across a range of categories, highlighting both academic excellence and personal development. Subject awards recognised outstanding individual achievement within each department, while further commendations were given for Outstanding Achievement in the Summer Exams and Significant Progress in the Summer Exams. Students who contributed exceptional service to the school through their roles as Senior Prefects were also honoured for their leadership, reliability, and dedication.
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of two special awards celebrating the school’s core values of care, kindness, and achievement. These awards embody the spirit of Tanbridge House School and recognise students who demonstrated these values consistently throughout their time with us. The Care & Kindness Award, in memory of Mason Clark, was awarded to Abbigail Vosloo, whilst the THS Role Model Award, in memory of Will Hallett, was awarded to Robert Pearson.
The prestigious Leslie Prize—awarded to a student who not only excels academically but also epitomises all that THS stands for—was presented to Niamh Stanley. Niamh’s remarkable academic record, combined with her character, determination, and embodiment of the school’s values, made her an outstanding and deserving recipient.
In addition to the student awards, THS Governors also awarded two staff prizes for their outstanding contributions and service to the school:
Teaching Staff Award: Mrs Watton was recognised for her transformative influence on the school’s reading culture. Her passion, infectious enthusiasm and commitment to fostering a love of reading have inspired both students and colleagues alike and she was noted as being an inspirational and aspirational member of staff. Her work in establishing the Media department as one of the school’s most popular subject areas was also commended.
Support Staff Award: Mrs Carlberg received the support staff award, as one of THS’s “unsung heroes”—someone who goes above and beyond every day, always willing to help others with kindness, warmth, and a smile. Vice Chair of Governors, Chris Lee, commented on how Wendy’s role in reprographics, reliable nature and sunny persona makes the work of others easier across the school.
Staff, students, and families alike commented on what a pleasure it was to celebrate such a special year group and look back on their achievements. Congratulations to all award winners and we wish the entire Class of 2025 every success in the exciting chapters ahead.
A huge thank you to EVM UK Ltd for your generous sponsorship - we couldn't do it without you.
