Duke of Edinburgh Success
Students were recognised for completing their Bronze and Silver DofE Awards this half term with meetings and presentations with Mr Sheridan and Miss Kindon.
As part of the award, students completed an impressive 676 hours of volunteering between them through charity shop work, youth projects, sports leadership and more. They also developed skills in sports such as climbing, swimming, and dance, and honed new skills including cooking, languages, photography and first aid.
The DofE expeditions are also a key part of achieving the award. 50 students undertook the Bronze Expedition, held in June, and ventured from Bramber Castle to Ashurst, exploring the South Downs.
In July, 28 Silver participants braved wet conditions during their three-day journey across Lavington Common, Gumber Bothy, and Burton Mill Pond. Well done to all students who completed their DofE awards!
