Outstanding Achievement in the Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge

In November, our Computer Science students once again competed in the Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge, showcasing their exceptional skills in logic and problem solving. Worldwide, over 3 million students from 80 countries participate.

Year 9 students achieved an outstanding average score of 148, significantly surpassing the national average of 105 and the West Sussex average of 101.

For the first time, we have also had two students achieving a perfect score. Congratulations to Alfie C and Alex F – an impressive achievement.

Year 10 and Year 11 students also delivered their best results to date, with an impressive average score of 113, well above the national average of 102 and 101 in West Sussex.

Mr Dimond, Leader of Computing, said: "Each year, I have the pleasure of celebrating our best ever results as our students continue to improve, and this year is no exception. I am immensely proud of all our students, and I am excited for our top performers to advance to the Coding Challenge in March. I am confident they will continue to impress.  Well done!"
