Silver Award for Tanbridge House School’s Eco Efforts
Following the announcement of our Eco Schools Bronze Award at the end of the 2018/19 academic year, we were delighted to receive the Silver Award during the 2019/20 Autumn/Winter term following further work on our Eco School journey.
The Tanbridge House School Eco Committee have been working hard to make positive changes linked to our three key topics - Litter, Healthy Living and Energy. For example, the committee have introduced crisp packet recycling (in addition to our battery recycling) and visited the local recycling plant to find out more about the recycling process.
Mrs Dock, who leads the Eco Committee, said: “Even the smallest of changes multiplied by our 1500 students can lead to big change that ripples out into the wider community. We are proud to be making steps in the right direction for our students’ futures and having a lot of fun along the way.”
