Students Prepare for the Future with Mock Interview Day

Our annual Year 10 Mock Interview Day took place on Thursday 10 July, a truly worthwhile event that gives every student the opportunity to experience what it’s like to apply for a job in the real world. To prepare for the day, students created their own CVs and cover letters for fictional roles, before taking part in a formal mock interview on the day with one of our many fantastic volunteers from a range of external companies and organisations.

The event offered students a valuable insight into the world of work and helped build key skills such as communication, confidence, and professionalism. Feedback from both students and interviewers was overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the maturity and preparation shown by our Year 10s.

Events like these are a vital part of our careers programme and help prepare students for life beyond school – whether that’s further education, apprenticeships or employment.
