Students get colourful to support charities
THS students are being encouraged to get show their support for causes close to their hearts this November by wearing coloured accessories relating to health and medical charities of their choice.
Every Friday throughout November students are invited to wear a coloured accessory alongside their uniform (a coloured tie, hairband, tights for example) which relates to a charity whose work they support. For example:
- Macmillan – green
- British Heart Foundation – red
- Marie Curie – yellow
- Alzheimer’s Society – blue
- St Catherine’s Hospice – orange
- Cancer Research – blue and pink
- Mind – blue
- Diabetes UK - dark and light blue
Miss Watson, who coordinates Tanbridge's charitable efforts, said: "We recognise that there are many charities out there that our students choose to support, for a variety of reasons. We hope that we can raise awareness of these charities at this challenging time and encourage students to talk about charities which are important to them."
