Tanbridge returns to the stage with Disney's High School Musical
Students from Tanbridge House School returned to the stage with a bang this June with an incredible performance of Disney’s High School Musical.
After more than two years away from the stage, students were delighted to showcase their talents and bring the local community together once again through music, dance and performance.
High School Musical tells the tale of Troy (Seb Bessant), the star basketball player who falls for nerdy Gabriella (Eva Shepherd). When the duo risk upsetting the status quo and auditioning for the school musical, the jealous Sharpay and Ryan Evans (Kalina Rampersad and Joel Byrne) try to find ways to put everyone back in their place.
Featuring a stellar cast, musicians and backstage support, audience members were blown away by the professional standard of the show, which included a number of all-singing, all-dancing numbers which students delivered without missing a beat!
Mr Sheridan, Headteacher, said: “It was wonderful to see Tanbridge House School back on the stage. The sense of pride felt – not only from me, but from colleagues, friends and families as well – was immense. The Performing Arts department and the students involved in the production have worked tirelessly over the past few months and it truly paid off. I already can’t wait until next year’s show.”
Thank you to all sponsors of High School Musical, and the ‘Friends of the Wildcats’ too, who helped to financially support the production.
