The Juno Project delivers 'This is Me' project for THS students
We have been delighted to welcome back The Juno Project, who have been working with a group of Year 10 girls in a fantastic project designed to support the development of positive self esteem and self worth.
Continuing over the spring term, the Juno Project’s ‘This is Me’ programme is delivered in powerful weekly sessions; examining areas of life that can be affected by disadvantage:
• Our relationship with ourselves
• Our relationships with others
• Work/career matters
The programme is designed for 14-16 year olds and consists of group work, one-to-one sessions and opportunities to interact with a variety of external speakers and volunteers, all delivered by experienced trained facilitators.
Students look at topics such as why we should forgive ourselves and accept our behaviours, and how we can use our positive (and not so positive) attributes to achieve our potential.
The programme has been incredibly positive, with participants commenting on how much they have got out of the sessions and how much they have learnt about themselves.
