Warm Weather: w/b 13 June 2022
The following letter has been sent home to parents/carers re: the predicted warm weather this week.
Warm Weather and Uniform Expectations
As I am sure you are aware, hotter weather is expected towards the end of this week (15 – 17 June inclusive).
I thought it would be helpful to clarify our uniform expectations for this upcoming week. All decisions and plans will be kept under review.
Students should continue to wear full school uniform at the start of this week (Monday and Tuesday). We will monitor each day and make adjustments with ties and blazers, as we always do, if needed.
I will provide an update on Tuesday, as temperatures are forecast to be higher from Wednesday. If this is the case, all students would be invited to wear their school PE kit should they wish to. Please ensure that only Tanbridge House PE kit is worn. Alternatively students can wear their regular uniform without a tie or blazer.
On Friday 17 June we are holding a non-uniform day for Year 7-10 students to raise money for St Catherine’s Hospice. We are asking students to bring in a voluntary donation of £1 in return they can wear their own clothes for the day. Expectations regarding appropriate clothing has already been sent in the letter from Ms Watson.
Year 11 students must continue to wear their correct school uniform for their remaining exams including a white shirt which would allow removal of their hoodies in the exam hall.
Unless you hear otherwise, we will revert back to normal uniform requirements from Monday 20 June.
I hope that this allows students to feel just a little more comfortable in school.
Thanks as always for your continued support.
