Welcoming Our New Teacher Trainees

We were delighted to welcome 40 new teacher trainees to the Tanbridge Teacher Training programme at the start of term.

These enthusiastic new recruits are now based in our primary and secondary partner schools across Sussex, where they’ve quickly become valued members of their school communities. From lively classrooms to inspiring assemblies, they’re already embracing the variety, challenge, and joy that day-to-day school life offers.

Each Friday, our trainees return to Tanbridge House School for their dedicated training day, which forms the core of their professional development. So far, they’ve been exploring cognition and learning — how children think, remember, and make sense of new ideas — and are already putting these insights into practice when planning and teaching their first lessons.

The trainees bring a wide range of experiences, backgrounds, and subject expertise, but all share a deep passion for making a positive difference in young people’s lives.
