Year 8 Explore the World of Work at Employer Skills Day

Year 8 students took part in our Employer Skills Days once again this half term; an inspiring event designed to help them explore future career possibilities and understand the skills valued most in today’s workplace.

Throughout the two days, students engaged with volunteers from a wide range of businesses and organisations, gaining insight into different industries and discovering the many pathways open to them. From creative sectors to technical fields, students had the chance to ask questions, take part in hands on sessions, and gain valuable insight into a range of careers.

Mr Ratcliffe, Deputy Headteacher and lead of the Employer Skills Days, said: “We were thrilled to host another brilliant two days for our Year 8 students. Our volunteers were motivated, informed, and inspiring, leaving students with a clearer sense of the opportunities available to them and the qualities employers look for in successful candidates.
