Are you interested in becoming a Teacher?
We would like to invite anyone considering training to be a teacher to visit and experience a day at Tanbridge House School on Thursday 17 March 2022. During your visit you will be able to interact with the students, talk to staff including some who have trained with us and observe teaching and learning.
There are a number of routes to becoming a qualified teacher, which include the traditional PGCE route and School Direct. In addition, and from September 2022, schools within the West Sussex GLF Teacher Training Satellite are planning to offer the GLF School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) route.
The SCITT programmes are delivered by local schools and led by a Provider (e.g. GLF) with DfE accreditation to award QTS. Trainees can also study for a PGCE alongside their QTS programme. Further details about the different routes will be explained during your visit. For information about the SCITT you can visit GLF schools website and the Teacher Training pages on the Warden Park Secondary Academy website.
The programme for your visit is likely to include:
Welcome and introductions
Tour of school
Time in lessons and departments
Plenary Q&A session.
Please contact Rebecca Harry, Extended Leadership Team, for further information.
