Uniform & Equipment

Below you can find details of all the uniform, including PE kit, you will need to start your journey with us in September.

Uniform List

Our students are ambassadors for Tanbridge House School and they are expected to adhere to our uniform and appearance guidelines.

If you are unsure about, or have any questions regarding uniform and basic standards for students, please contact your child’s Leader of Year in the first instance.

Required items - with THS branding:

• Navy blue blazer with school logo
• School tie (available in house colours*)

Required items - without THS branding:

• Plain white shirt
• Standard plain tailored grey trousers (not skinny style/leggings) or plain grey mid-calf length skirt. Tracksuit bottoms / shorts must not be worn underneath school trousers
• Natural, navy blue or black tights or plain white socks (with skirts)
• Dark coloured plain socks (with trousers)
• Plain black leather/vinyl shoes only – trainers are NOT permitted

Optional items:

• Navy blue sweater with school logo
• Plain grey/black belt
• Outerwear: Outer coats and jackets may be worn when travelling to and from school in inclement weather but should be worn in addition to the school blazer (not as a replacement). Hooded sweatshirts or tracksuit tops that cover the uniform are not appropriate.

*Tanbridge House School Houses

All Tutor Groups are in one of three Houses: Wilkinson (Yellow), Redgrave (Red) and Radcliffe (Green) and the school tie reflects the colour of the house students have been allocated to.

 PE Kit

Our PE kit is the same for all students.

Required items - with THS branding:

• Navy blue polo shirt with school logo

Required items - without THS branding

• Plain navy blue shorts (small discreet logos are suitable, no team badges)*
• Navy blue football socks (outdoors/colder times of year)
• Short white socks (indoors/warmer times of year)
• Suitably supportive trainers
• Football boots (for Football and Rugby)
• Hair band/Hair tie (for long hair)

Optional items:

• Navy skort with school logo
• Navy blue base layers (colder times of year)
• Mid layer with school logo
• Navy crew neck jumper with school logo (for PE only)
• Navy blue plain tracksuit bottoms or leggings (small discreet logos are suitable, no team badges)*
• Navy blue outdoor top with school logo (discontinued from sale from April 2024)
• Gum shield (for Hockey and Rugby)
• Shin pads (for Hockey and Football)
• Sports bra

Participation

If injured, students are not expected to physically participate in PE. However, they are expected to still wear their kit in order to fulfil an analytical, coaching or officiating role within the lesson (this also ensures they have dry clothes to change back into in the event of bad weather).

In the case of a serious injury, a student will not be expected to get changed in order to fulfil an analytical, coaching or officiating role.
