An outstanding place to teach and work...

Tanbridge House School is a fantastic place to work. We are fully committed to developing and supporting each and every one of our staff members and providing a safe and comfortable working environment.

Our modern school site is situated within beautiful grounds and offers excellent facilities to allow students and staff members alike to reach their full potential. As a specialist ICT school, we make use of the latest technology to support teaching and learning.

In November 2012 we were inspected by Ofsted and graded as "Outstanding". Our ‘Outstanding Teacher’ programme supports this and allows all teaching staff access to excellent training and development resources. You can find out more about our Ofsted inspection by visiting our Ofsted webpage.

Support staff are an essential part of our school and we recognise that the school could not function without them. Both Support staff and Teaching staff have many opportunities to contribute to the planning and development of the school in a variety of areas. Staff opinions are very much valued and listened to at Tanbridge House. In one of our recent staff surveys 93% of teaching and non - teaching staff viewed our CPD as good or outstanding and 100% of staff believe that Tanbridge House School 'stands for and delivers positively for its students and wider stakeholders'.

About the school…

Tanbridge House School is one of three 11–16 schools in Horsham and finds itself in a special position as the only co-educational secondary school in the town.  It is one of the few secondary schools in the country to be expressly designed to meet the requirements of the national curriculum and to prepare for the hi-tech demands of the twenty-first century.

We currently have approximately 1,549 students on roll and are oversubscribed.  Our academic results in public examinations are well above West Sussex and national averages. The cornerstone of our school improvement plan is a commitment to develop all staff who work at Tanbridge House to ensure that they have the skills they need in line with the priorities set in our School Development plan.  Tanbridge House is a most congenial and stimulating place in which to work.
