Staff and students had an incredible time during the Easter holidays when they embarked on the annual Ski Trip - six members of staff took 42 students from Years 9 & 10 to the Monti della Luna resort in Italy.
Leaving school on the Saturday and arriving in Italy on the Sunday, students quickly got settled into their rooms and got ready for the week ahead, trying on their skis, boots and helmets. Students skied for six days in total and the progress was amazing! The first day was carnage but the group soon started to improve and become more skilled skiers.
The evening entertainment during the week consisted of ice creams, hot chocolates, pizza, movies, quizzes and of course the famous THS talent show which was won one of our up and coming comedians! Mr Dunkley also demonstrated some magic tricks and a group of female students created a rap song!
Miss Samuel, who led the trip, said: "We were so lucky with the snow as it had been one of the coldest winters they had had for a long time. It really was a winter wonderland. The students were a credit to themselves and the school on the trip, showing grit and determination when times got tough and tiredness set in! The progress the students made was fantastic and the staff were truly amazed!"
